This exceptional set of armchairs is crafted from Caviuna hardwood and green leather upholstery. The delicate wooden rods elegantly hold the seating structure, evoking a sense of living organism, typically of Scapinelli’s production in the 50s. The original upholstery is in excellent condition. While the set is a showstopper, the armchairs have a moderate size making them perfect for any kind of environment, from mid century, to modern or contemporary.

About the Designer

Giuseppe Scapinelli

Giuseppe Scapinelli was born in 1891 in Modena, Italy, but like many of his Italian fellows, he crossed the ocean and immigrated to Brazil where he started a new life. An accomplished painter, ceramist, and sculptor, he began his career as a furniture designer in the early 1950s.
