Mario Bellini

Mario Bellini (born 1935) is an acclaimed Italian architect and designer known for his influential role in shaping modern Italian design.

A graduate of the Polytechnic University of Milan, Bellini emerged during Italy’s postwar economic boom, creating groundbreaking work across architecture, furniture, and product design. His pieces are admired for their sculptural elegance, innovative use of materials, and technical precision.

Over his career, Bellini has received numerous awards, including eight Compasso d’Oro prizes and the Triennale di Milano’s Gold Medal for Lifetime Achievement. In 2019, the Italian Chamber of Deputies honored him with a career medal recognizing his enduring contributions to architecture and design.
