Branco E Preto

In the 1950s, a group of architects in São Paulo founded Branco E Preto, an architecture and design firm that embodied their sophisticated, modern approach to architecture. This group featured young architects such as Roberta Aflalo, Jacob Ruchti, Miguel Forte, Plínio Croce, Carlos Millan, and Chen Y Hwa, all driven by their collective desire to furnish the commissioned houses they designed with the same contemporary style and refinement that embodied Brazilian Modernity. They gained recognition for their meticulous craftsmanship and use of high-quality materials, combining impeccable finishes with native Brazilian woods. Their designs were seen as an extension of each residence, characterized by their lightness and simplicity.
