Casa Finland
Casa Finland was a Brazilian wood workshop active during the 1960s and 1970s, based in Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro. The company specialized in finely crafted household objects — bowls, trays, baskets, and tableware — made from Brazilian hardwoods such as jacarandá(rosewood). Its clean, functional designs reflected mid-century modern sensibilities. Casa Finland’s pieces often were stamped “Casa Finland – Teresópolis, Brazil.” Though relatively small, the workshop contributed to Brazil’s modern design movement, and its work is now collected internationally for its quality and craftsmanship.
