Swiss designer Willy Guhl is widely recognized for his pioneering work in the field of industrial design. Known for his organic and rugged approach to modern furniture and decor, Guhl's designs continue to be highly sought after by enthusiasts today.
He studied at the Zurich School of Applied Arts, where he later taught for almost four decades. Along with his provocative garden elements and outdoor furniture, Guhl is perhaps best known for his iconic Loop chair, which he introduced in 1954.
