This stunning set of eight MT 552 chairs, designed by Geraldo de Barros (1923-1998) and produced by Unilabor, features solid rosewood frames complemented by cane backrests and seats. The use of cane, a lightweight material, imparts a sense of lightness—both visually and tangibly—allowing these pieces to seamlessly integrate into their surroundings.
The chairs have been reinforced and refinished, showcasing their vibrant natural veins. The caning is brand new, meticulously following the original design from the 1950s.
The last images feature vintage and contemporary publications including the manufacturer's manuscript featuring this model and its variations.
