This unique and sizable four-seater "Rectangular" sofa, designed by Joaquim Tenreiro and produced by Tenreiro Móveis e Decorações in the 1960s, features a wooden frame with an upholstered body and loose cushions on the seat and back, all covered in pink velvet. The manufacturer's seal can be found on the back of the sofa.
The entire structure has been reinforced, ensuring that the sofa is quite comfortable. Provenance details can be provided upon request.

Joaquim Tenreiro was born in Portugal in 1906 but spent most of his life and career in Brazil, where he became one of the country's most celebrated furniture designers. He started his career as a cabinetmaker and set up his own furniture workshop in 1943.
