Description

Designed by Joaquim Tenreiro and manufactured by Tenreiro Moveis e Decoraçaos in the 1950's this rare and large four-seater "Rectangular" sofa is made of wood with an upholstered body, loose cushions on the seat and back with pink velvet upholstery. The manufacture seal is located in the back of the sofa.

About the Designer

Joaquim Tenreiro

Joaquim Tenreiro was born in Portugal in 1906 but spent most of his life and career in Brazil, where he became one of the country's most celebrated furniture designers. He started his career as a cabinetmaker and set up his own furniture workshop in 1943.
