A substantial Brazilian modern desk produced by Ava in the 1960s, distinguished by its architectural construction, generous storage, and richly figured Brazilian rosewood.

The expansive rectangular top appears to float above the base, elevated on short supports that create a continuous band of negative space beneath it. This carefully considered detail gives visual lightness to the desk’s otherwise commanding proportions. Below, two symmetrical pedestal cabinets frame a generous central opening, establishing a balanced and highly functional workspace.

Each pedestal contains four drawers, providing eight drawers in total and ample storage for documents, stationery, and everyday office essentials.
