Description

Giuseppe Scapinelli’s iconic “Maracanã” coffee table is named after the famous soccer stadium in Rio de Janeiro that was built in 1950. The table is made with Brazilian rosewood (also known as jacaranda) and has a travertine top. The top has a circular wood base that holds the travertine, giving a futuristic look when seen from above. It has four curved legs that connect to each other through a wood joint, making the table very sturdy. The wood on this piece has been expertly refinished and is now in excellent condition.
