Description

This set of six chairs showcases a hardwood structure with four legs, each featuring a seat and backrest crafted from bentwood in one piece. Upholstered in smooth off-white fabric, the chairs are adorned with three delicate buttons in the center, adding a touch of elegance. The matching extendable dining table, also from Novo Rumo, is highlighted in the last image.

This Brazilian Modern gem embodies the bold characteristics of true Brazilian Modern design: a robust wood structure seamlessly integrated with delicate upholstery, creating a visually inviting and comfortable ensemble.

About the Designer

Novo Rumo

Francesco Scapinelli, an architect and ceramist who had previously worked with his older brother, the renowned designer Giuseppe Scapinelli, founded Studio Novo Rumo in São Paulo. The studio produced furniture on an industrial scale using high-quality materials like Bahia Jacaranda, which was frequently used in their best pieces. Some people may mistake Novo Rumo furniture for L'Atelier's because several former L'Atelier employees went to work with Scapinelli at Novo Rumo.
