Description

This sculptural chaise lounge, attributed to Liceu de Artes e Oficios, boasts a Brazilian Rosewood (Jacaranda) structure, featuring curved arms and four tapered legs with brass tips on the front legs. Upholstered in luxurious beige boucle, the chaise includes a comfortably curved seat and backrest adorned with three delicate buttons in matching boucle. Discovered in Teresópolis, a city renowned for its Modernist architecture located two hours from Rio de Janeiro, this piece has undergone meticulous restoration. The wood has been refinished to reveal stunning grain patterns, while the upholstery was skillfully handled by our team of upholsterers in New York.
