This armchair was designed by Giuseppe Scapinelli in the 1950s. This design was very popular amongst the urban elites of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to furnish their homes as can be seen in the vintage publications/  The structure of these chairs is made in a Brazilian noble wood tapered legs and fabric. 

While the upholstery is in good condition, we offer complimentary upholstery services, allowing you to choose the perfect fabric from our selection to suit your style.

About the Designer

Giuseppe Scapinelli

Giuseppe Scapinelli was born in 1891 in Modena, Italy, but like many of his Italian fellows, he crossed the ocean and immigrated to Brazil where he started a new life. An accomplished painter, ceramist, and sculptor, he began his career as a furniture designer in the early 1950s.
