Questions about this piece?
Each chair features a solid Brazilian Rosewood structure upholstered in beige Italian leather. The legs and backrest are delicately curved, providing both elegance and comfort. The woodwork is absolutely stunning, characteristic of Joaquim Tenreiro's craftsmanship. This set was designed specifically for Bloch Editors, a prominent Brazilian publishing and broadcasting conglomerate. Sergio Rodrigues and Joaquim Tenreiro were commissioned to create modern furniture for Bloch’s headquarters in Sao Paulo, and these chairs originally adorned the conference rooms.
The original upholstery was beige faux leatherette, and to maintain the original design, the pieces have been reupholstered in Italian beige leather. The rosewood has been refinished, revealing vibrant wood veins. Despite minor age-related marks primarily on the legs, the set remains in excellent condition. Most chairs retain Bloch’s patrimony plaque on the back of the seat rest, underscoring their historical significance and provenance.
