Description
Presenting a spectacular and exceptionally rare "Burton" dining table, featuring a solid Freijo structure complemented by a black marble top and polished brass fittings.
The table's name pays homage to Sergio Rodrigues' longtime friend, Michel Burton. In the early days of his furniture design, Rodrigues showcased remarkable skill in shaping forms and creatively using materials. With the Burton table, one can envision him disassembling a sailboat model to reinvent its components into a stunning table. The chrome brass tie rods add a unique elegance to the design and serve as vital structural elements that ensure the table's stability.
The wood has been refinished and is in good condition, with only minor signs of age on the legs. The black marble shows some minor dents along the edges but is overall in good shape.
The last images showcase various publications featuring this iconic table, including excerpts from the manufacturing manual and Sergio Rodrigues' book, among others.
