Description

This bar cart is executed in solid caviúna wood, its structure defined by clean vertical supports and gently contoured upper rails that extend outward into integrated handles. The silhouette is composed and architectural, with two functional levels organized within a restrained open frame. The upper tier houses a removable tray with a white Formica surface, framed in wood, introducing a subtle contrast in tone and material while facilitating service.

The lower shelf provides additional storage, articulated by stretchers that reinforce the structural logic of the piece. Original brass casters remain intact, grounding the composition while allowing mobility without interrupting its formal clarity. Their patina reflects the cart’s age and continuity of use.

The caviúna has been professionally restored to revive its natural tonal variation and depth, preserving the integrity of the grain and joinery. The hardware remains in proper working condition, and the original manufacturer’s seal is affixed discreetly beneath the lower tier, confirming provenance.

Both utilitarian and refined, the cart reflects the mid-century Brazilian commitment to material integrity and measured proportion—where service furniture is elevated through disciplined craftsmanship and thoughtful construction.
