Description

Manufactured by Forma in the 1960s, this sofa reflects the studio’s commitment to refined modern forms and high-quality materials during a formative period of Brazilian mid-century design. Forma’s production emphasized structural integrity and disciplined geometry, resulting in seating that balances architectural presence with comfort.

The sofa is defined by a clean, curved profile and plush textured upholstery. Its original structure has been preserved, ensuring authenticity to the original design intent, the sofa is supported by tapered legs crafted from caviúna wood. The contrast between the white upholstery and the expressive hardwood legs establishes visual balance and lends the piece a sense of lightness and permanence.

The sofa has been newly reupholstered in white bouclé, a textured textile chosen to complement the form without obscuring it. The caviúna wood legs retain their rich tonal depth and have been carefully maintained to preserve material integrity. Presented in excellent vintage condition, this sofa stands as a composed and versatile example of Forma’s modern furniture production, suitable for refined interiors and serious collections alike.
