Description
Each of these four chairs showcases a solid Rosewood structure upholstered in light brown leather, characterized by its almost brutalist aesthetic. Originally designed for Bloch Editors, a prominent Brazilian publishing and broadcasting conglomerate, these chairs were part of the modern furniture commissioned for Bloch’s headquarters in Sao Paulo. Crafted by renowned designers Sergio Rodrigues and Joaquim Tenreiro, they reflect a distinctive blend of style and functionality.
The chairs have been reupholstered in a similar light brown color, maintaining the original faux leatherette's design lineage. The rosewood frames have been refinished, highlighting vibrant wood veins while showing minor signs of age, particularly on the legs. Overall, the set is in excellent condition, with many chairs still bearing Bloch’s heritage plaques on the backrests.
