Description
The name of this chair model is “Cantu Alta,” which Rodrigues named after the city Cantu in Italy. In 1961, these chairs won third place in the Cantu International Furniture Competition. The set is made with a Brazilian rosewood (also known as jacaranda) frame and has the original upholstery. The sleek design and use of straight lines, leather, and jacaranda wood is what makes this piece a true work of art. To add on, the wood has been refinished and is in excellent condition. The design of these chairs is a piece of history in Brazilian modern furniture and they would make for a perfect addition to any home.
The wood has been refinished and is in excellent condition. The original upholstery is made of leatherette and is in good condition. The vintage publications feature the exact same model with the exact same color and type of upholstery.
The chairs can be purchased as a set.
