Description

This fabulous and very playful chest of drawers is entirely made in Plywood and was designed by Jose Zanine Caldas in Brazil in the 50’s during his time in “Z Moveis Artisticos”. The chest consists of 5 large drawers and four legs with an organic design. The lower drawer has two round handles.

Zanine’s goal during his time at “Z Moveis Artisticos”, was to make beautifully designed furniture at affordable cost for the emerging middle class. That's the reason why several of his productions at that time were made in Plywood instead of hardwood.

The manufacturing seal is in the back of the piece. The chest has been expertly refinished and is in very good condition.
