Description

The "Jangada" armchair is named after the rustic fishing boats used by fishermen along Brazil's northern coast. Its "purplish" wooden frame beautifully contrasts with the iconic caramel leather upholstery, enhancing its luxurious and elegant appearance. The upholstery, crafted over three months by some of Rio de Janeiro's finest upholsterers, follows Gillon’s methodology, as shown in the attached vintage publications. Remnants of the manufacturing seal are visible on the wood base, and the nets are new.

Owning a "Jangada" lounge chair is not merely about acquiring a stunning piece of furniture; it is about embracing a part of Brazilian design history and culture. This chair is a testament to Jean Gillon’s creativity and vision, making it an excellent addition to any interior space that values and appreciates beautiful design.
