Rino Levi

Rino Levi (1901-1965) was a Brazilian architect who played a pivotal role in solidifying the mid-century Modernist movement in Brazilian architecture and design. Studying architecture in Milan and Rome, Levi brought an innovative approach to the movement, merging elegance with functionality. Levi advocated for simplicity, finding beauty in organic shapes and sculptural forms. His usage of traditional Brazilian wood further encapsulated the essence of Brazilian mid-century design.

Levi's designs incorporated natural shapes and raw materials reflective of the contemporary movement and urban terrain. Inspired by the inherent beauty of Brazil, Levi introduced a distinct style loyal to Brazilian Modernism- one prevalent in both his architecture and furniture designs.
