Carlo Fongaro

Carlo Benvenuto Fongaro (1915-1986), an Italian-born furniture designer and Politécnico di Milano graduate, significantly impacted the Brazilian mid-century modern furniture design movement. After arriving in Brazil in 1947, he pioneered the movement of contemporary, elegant office furniture using rosewood and square steel tubes.
