Description

This stunning set of 6 chairs in Brazilian Rosewood, known as Jacaranda, and caning were designed by Joaquim Tenreiro in the 1960’s. The “Chair with Curved Seat" (or “Cadeira com Assento Curvo” in Portuguese) is featured in Joaquim Tenreiro’s book (image attached). Tenreiro successfully merges simplicity and lightness with Brazilian materials - cane and Jacaranda. This model was replicated by Celina Decoracoes and Forma Moveis but none of them executed it with Tenreiro’s wood mastery. This can be seen throughout the piece in the joints, the curved seat, and the legs. This model is one of Tenreiro’s staples and owning this set of four chairs will not only be useful and a showstopper but a great investment that will continue to appreciate in value with time.

The chairs can be sold individually also.  price per chair: $5,000
