Description

This sculptural chaise lounge boasts a solid Brazilian Rosewood (Jacaranda) structure, featuring curved arms and four tapered legs with brass tips on the front legs. Upholstered in luxurious green Italian leather, the chaise includes a comfortably curved seat and backrest adorned with three delicate buttons in matching green leather.

Discovered in Teresópolis, a city renowned for its Modernist architecture located two hours from Rio de Janeiro, this piece has undergone meticulous restoration. The wood has been refinished to reveal stunning wood veins, while the upholstery was skillfully handled by Bianor, a renowned upholsterer from Rio de Janeiro.

Although the authorship of this piece remains unknown, it exemplifies the exceptional design and craftsmanship prevalent in Brazil during the sixties, adding a touch of sophistication to any interior setting.
