Description

This exquisite credenza, designed by Zilberberg Móveis, is crafted from solid Caviuna wood and features four elegant curved legs. It boasts four drawers and six doors, each adorned with delicate brass handles. The back of the piece bears the manufacturer's seal and tax stamp, affirming its authenticity. Designed for a private residence in São Paulo, this rare piece showcases Zilberberg Móveis' mastery of wood joinery. The light blond Caviuna wood, with its darker veins forming geometric patterns, adds charm and lightness to the design. Caviuna wood was also a favorite of renowned designers like Giuseppe Scapinelli and Rino Levi, further highlighting its prestigious use in Brazilian mid-century modern furniture.

Despite being overshadowed by the iconic designs of Joaquim Tenreiro, Carlo Hauner, Martin Eisler, Jorge Zalszupin and Sergio Rodrigues, these craftsmen and small manufacturers still managed to produce cutting-edge pieces that embodied the "modern values" of form and materiality.
