This piece belonged to the Hotel Nacional of São Conrado in Rio de Janeiro (designed by famous architect Oscar Niemeyer in 1970) and still contains the heritage plaque. This desk was designed by Jorge Zalszupin for L’Atelier and is made with caviuna hardwood and white formica finishes. After this project, L’Atelier launched the Hotel Line in the same style with coffee tables, benches, and chairs. The wood has been refinished and besides the marks of age, the piece is in great condition. It features six beige drawers on the right side and two brown drawers on the left. The elegant design of this desk allows it to be styled into any interior design style.
We have two desks of the same model available. Lot 24 & 47.The difference between them is that lot 47 has a darker tone of wood and a wood top (instead of Formica).
