Description
This exceptional 'Macedo' sofa by Sergio Rodrigues is a rare find, featuring an integrated storage area at the back. Crafted in the 1960s by OCA Brazil, it showcases a generous amount of exquisite Brazilian Rosewood with strikingly deep grain patterns. The sofa also features Sergio's signature chromed brass medallions and comes with newer cushions that can be customized with your choice of fabric or leather, or you can opt to keep the existing light brown upholstery.
As a complimentary service, we provide upholstery with any of our upholstery at no charge allowing you to select your preferred finish. If you're interested in reupholstering the sofa, feel free to reach out for more details.
The wood has been refinished and is in excellent condition. The last images are vintage and contemporary images showcasing this beautiful piece.

Sergio Rodrigues was a Brazilian furniture designer and architect. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1927, he studied architecture and worked in various design fields before founding his own furniture company in the 1950s.
