Description

This very unique chaise lounge was designed and executed by Pierre Weckxx in Brazil in the 1950s. The chaise boasts a structure entirely made in Caviuna wood, rope and one single  loose cushion tied to the wooden frame. The design has an aerodynamic look giving the perception of movement and levity. These and other of Pierre Weckxx works had this type of organic shapes typical of the Organic movement in Latin America in the 50’s

The wood has been expertly refinished by one of Brazil’s finest wood restorers and is in excellent condition. The rope and loose cushion are new and very comfortable.

The last images feature vintage publications and showcase this beautiful piece.
